Description :

•  The Liturgy Planning Group sets goals, directions, and standards for the overall liturgical and prayer life, implementing the public worship of our community. It also studies and discusses liturgical resources and documents, reflecting on the scriptures and the faith life of our community. Good liturgy helps us see the patterns and connections of our faith.

•  Among its tasks are:

•  Coordinate between and foster dialogue among the liturgical ministries of the parish to cater to the liturgical and spiritual needs of all parishioners.

•  Evaluate periodically the Sunday, seasonal (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter) liturgies, drawing upon the insights and feedback of parishioners.

•  Promote spiritual enrichment through the parish Advent and Lenten programs.

•  Environment review, lector and acolyte coordination.

Meetings : 7:00 pm , First Wednesday of the Month

Activities : Liturgical Evaluations, Liturgy Rehearsals, Vesper Services, Parish Liturgy Manual (Guide to Liturgy at MHR), Penance Services, Anointing of the Sick

The Liturgy Planning Group was the former Liturgy Committee. The change in name came about with the restructuring of the groups and ministries of the parish during the Parish Assessment and Renewal Program in 2004.
